Uganda Premier League record champions SC Villa announced late yesterday that the club has parted ways with midfielder Emmanuel Alex Wasswa by mutual consent.
The Kaziba coached side announced that both parties reached an agreement to go separate ways.

Wasswa has been SC Villa’s vice-captain and his energy, grit and aggressiveness made him a fan favorite and has been an ever-present player in his spell at the SC club.

The hardworking midfielder who joined the Jogoos from Ndejje University two seasons ago becomes the latest player to depart the Kaziba coached side following the earlier departure of Geoffrey Wasswa and Derrick Ndahiro.
This website understands that the midfielder will soon be a KCCA FC player having completed his medical with the Lugogo based side and put pen to paper on a three-year deal, just waiting to be unveiled by the Kasasiro boys who have already unveiled Brian Majwega from URA FC.

The energetic midfielder is also a Beach Soccer player and he was part of the Uganda national beach soccer team, the ‘Sand Cranes’ that made it to the final AFCON Beach soccer tournament for the first time in their history and finished fourth.
Wasswa scored four goals for the Sand Cranes in the AFCON Beach Soccer tournament played in Saly City, Senegal between 23rd-29th May 2021, where the Sand Cranes were pitted in group A alongside hosts Senegal, neighbors Tanzania and DR. Congo before the former pulled out at the eleventh hour.
He scored his first goal of the tournament in Uganda’s 4-3 group stage win over Tanzania, registered his second in Uganda’s 3-6 loss versus Mozambique in the semifinals whilst his third and fourth goals came in Uganda’s 3-5 loss to Morocco in the third place Playoff.
In other news, a deal in principle has been agreed for the transfer of Charles Bbaale (the 2020 Masaza Cup top scorer) to SC Villa.
