Uganda Senior Women’s National team (Crested Cranes) head coach George Lutalo is hopeful the team will register positive results in their forthcoming Africa Women Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Crested Cranes come up against Ethiopia on Wednesday (next week) in the first leg of the campaign at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende before the return leg in Bahir Dar on 26th October 2021 and Lutalo is hopeful they can put in an improved display and make a perfect response to the doubters that have attacked him and his team in recent weeks after a disappointing showing at the just concluded Cosafa Women’s Championship .

Lutalo who beefed up his COSAFA side with eleven U20 women’s national team players including Margret Kunihira, Fauzia Najjemba,Shakira Nalugya,Juliet Nalukenge among others who were very influential as the Uganda U20 women’s national team eliminated Kenya with a 10-3 first round aggregate score was full of praise for his players after their Friday morning training session.
“The training is going on well and their response to learning more is also good. I am hopeful that from this group of players we shall have the best results out of the Ethiopia game on Wednesday,”
Lutalo said after Friday morning training session
