Their inclusion in the team is unsurprising given their individual performances for the 🇺🇬U20 Women’s National football team in the just concluded Cecafa U20 Women’s Championship and the ongoing 2022 Fifa U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.
Meanwhile, there were also recognition for three of Lady Doves’ best performers too, with Daisy Nakaziro, Riticia Nabbosa and Ikwaput Fazila getting the nod.

Their selection recognises the quality of their individual performances during Lady Doves’ title-winning campaign, with all the three playing a significant role in the Club’s success both in the FUFA women’s Super league and the Cecafa regional qualifiers.
UCU Lady Cardinal’s Shadia Nankya, Tooro Queens’ Sumaya Komuntale, Kampala Queens’ Fauzia Najjemba who was the top scorer in the Cecafa U20 championship and last season’s FUFA Women Elite league MVP Joan Naggayi of She Maroons are the other players selected in the team of the year in recognition of their fine performances.
