

Onduparaka FC forward and skipper Muhammad Shaban who made his Cranes debut in 2016 and was part of the Uganda Cranes squad for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations is back in the Cranes set-up after a couple of years.
The former KCCA FC and Vipers SC goalpoacher is among the 21 players Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin ‘Micho’Sredojevic has summoned for the upcoming trip to the United Arab Emirates where the team will have two high profile international build up matches.
The striker who shocked the entire Uganda football fraternity when he beat Mamelodi Sundowns’ goalkeeper Dennis Onyango, Standard Liege’s Faruku Miya, Vipers SC striker Erisa Ssekisambu and KCCA’s Joseph Ochaya to the 2016 FUFA Footballer of the Year is part of the team majorly dominated by local based players.

Meanwhile, two South African based players; goalkeeper Isma Watenga and Moses Waiswa are also part of the Uganda Cranes team that will play two AFCON bound teams Gabon and Mauritania with all matches expected to be played in Abu Dhabi.
The first game will be against Gabon on 30th December 2021 and the second game against Mauritania shall come on 1st January 2022.
The team departs the country on 29th December 2021 and shall return on 2nd January 2022.
