
She Corporate FC midfielder and skipper Naome Nagadya is in high spirits after returning to the national team after six years.
The midfielder who got injured during the 2016 CECAFA Senior Women’s Championship was called for the first time by 🇺🇬Crested Cranes head coach George Lutalo for the forthcoming CECAFA Senior Women Championship that will be held in Uganda at the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru and Women Africa Cup of Nations.
Last season , Nagadya shined and guided She Corporate FC to winning the FUFA Women Super League title as a captain and she feels excited to get back to her best and also return to the national team after six years outside of the setup.
“I feel excited to get back to the National Team. Definitely it has been down had work and keeping the commitment, she stated before adding, “I feel happy that after six years, I’m part of the Crested Cranes again.” - Naome Nagadya told fufa.co.ug
A delighted Nagadya recalls that she sustained a knee injury during her last appearance in the National Team colours and hopes to play a key role as Uganda prepares for the forthcoming CECAFA Senior Women’s Championship and Women Africa Cup of Nations.
“I got injured at the 2016 CECAFA Senior Women’s Championship and that knee injury kept recurring. Later, I was forced to rest for two years to recover fully and I’m really delighted that I played an entire season without any concerns.”

Uganda is in group A alongside Rwanda, Burundi and Djibouti at the CECAFA Senior Women’s Championship that gets underway on Wednesday, 1st June.
Group B has Tanzania, Zanzibar, South Sudan and Ethiopia.
