As earlier reported, Kitara football club have officially announced that they have parted company with head coach Sam Ssimbwa Bamweyana.
Ssimbwa joined the Royals at the start of the second round of 2022/23 FUFA Big League season on short term deal until the end of the season with an option to renew his contract if he guides Kitara back to the Uganda Premier League.
He oversaw 15 league games at the helm for Kitara, winning 8, drawing six and losing just one.
In the Uganda cup, he was in charge of two matches triumphing once and lossing the other.
The former Uganda Revenue Authority tactician guided the club to a top finish, securing promotion back to the Uganda premier league and also won the Fufa big league trophy, the first and only in Kitara’s history since it’s inception in 2010.
“This was a difficult decision, but after careful decisions and considerations, we finally agreed to make a change. We want to thank Sam Ssimbwa for everything he has done for Kitara football club and wish him the best in him future endeavors,” – Deo Kasozi Akiiki, Kitara FC club President
Kitara will now seek a new head coach and the announcement is expected to be made before the end of the month of June.
