In a strategic move that underscores their commitment to diversity and talent acquisition, Soltilo Bright Stars FC, the trailblazing Ugandan football club, has announced the signing of Indian player Aaryan Badoni. This follows their pioneering acquisition of Japanese talent Kazuto Kushida, making the club a beacon of international representation.

Badoni, a 22-year-old central defender, has joined the Kavumba-based outfit in preparation for the upcoming second round of the campaign. As Soltilo Bright Stars FC strives for a robust finish in both the league and the Uganda Cup, Badoni’s defensive prowess is expected to fortify their backline.
The signing of Badoni marks a historic moment as he becomes the inaugural player to join Bright Stars in the January transfer window. With a diverse footballing background, the Indian defender has previously showcased his skills with SC Villa Youth team, Rising Star Academy, and Excel Soccer Academy in Uganda. His international experience includes stints with Dubai City FC and Gulf United in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), adding a global flair to his repertoire.
It’s noteworthy that in 2021, Bright Stars made waves by signing Japanese midfielder Kushida, who contributed significantly during his season with the club before retiring in 2022.
As of now, Soltilo Bright Stars holds the tenth position on the Uganda Premier League (UPL) table, amassing 18 points in 15 matches. The imminent clash against SC Villa on Thursday signals the commencement of their journey in the second round, with hopes high for a surge up the league standings.
The addition of Aaryan Badoni to the squad not only amplifies the team’s defensive capabilities but also solidifies their reputation as a club open to embracing diverse talents from around the world. Football enthusiasts eagerly anticipate witnessing Badoni’s impact as he dons the vibrant colors of Soltilo Bright Stars FC in the exciting matches that lie ahead.
