Next on the She Cranes’ calendar is the much-anticipated Fast5 Netball World Series, which is scheduled to take place in Christchurch, New Zealand, on November 9-10, 2024. The Fast5 series, known for its dynamic and fast-paced version of netball, will offer Uganda an opportunity to compete with the world’s finest. The tournament will feature shorter quarters, power plays, and thrilling long-range shooting that make it an exciting spectacle for fans and players alike.

Uganda’s participation in this prestigious event will see them go head-to-head with five of the world’s top netball teams, including Australia (ranked 1st), England (2nd), New Zealand (3rd), Jamaica (4th), and South Africa (5th). These powerhouses of netball bring with them a wealth of experience, and Uganda will be keen to put up a strong performance against these formidable opponents.

Regionally, Uganda has also maintained a significant lead over its East African counterparts. Kenya, for instance, currently sits at 26th in the world rankings, a considerable distance from Uganda’s top-ten standing.
