Former Onduparaka Fc creative midfielder Gaddafi Gadinho is excited to be a part of the project at Westnile outfit Arua Hill Sports club after joining from StarTimes Uganda Premier League side Mbarara City.
The bow-legged midfielder sealed and signed a two-year deal with the Big league outfit that will keep him at the Arua based club until November 2022.
Gaddafi joins Arua Hill Sports Club as a free agent after a brief spell at Mbarara City , a club he joined as a free agent from Onduparaka fc at the start last season and signed a two-year employment contract after excelling as Onduparaka upset the odds to challenge the giants of StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
However, the former Onduparaka midfielder had a torrid time at Mbarara City and was limited to just four league appearances last season with the Mbarara based club which came against Tooro United, SC Villa, Onduparaka and Kyetume.

The creative midfielder grew frustrated at his lack of playing time at Mbarara City since his switch from the caterpillars and eventually went AWOL at the beginning of the second round of StarTimes Uganda Premier League campaign citing unpaid salary arrears and breach of contract.
Gaddafi was heavily linked with several clubs since the end of last season and it was reported that the bow legged midfielder had joined Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) Football Club but in a turn of events, Arua Hill Sports Club has finally closed in on his signature.
Speaking on his move to the Westnile outfit, Gaddafi said;
“It feels comfortable playing locally than anywhere else. Normally when I’m at home, I get the chance to see my kids and it excites me, so I had to decide to join Arua Hill SC when the opportunity presented itself“, Gaddafi told the club’s communication department before adding.
“I also wanted to play alongside my former teammates like Agau, Caeser Leku and many others here with whom we have been playing together before from Drum Team to club level.” He added.
The 26 year old is not new to the FUFA Big League as he participated and played a key role in helping Onduparaka FC earn promotion to the Premier League in 2015/16 season and recognizes the competitiveness in the StarTimes Uganda big league.
He acknowledges that his experience as well as that of his teammates and team work will be very vital in the club’s quest for promotion to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
“Big League isn’t an easy competition in Ugandan football, But I have played it before and with so many experienced players around with whom we’ve played at Big League level before, if we work as a team we can achieve it as long as we win all home games, which are very important in the bid to climb up.” Gaddafi said when asked if the task that is a head is more of a repeat to him and will be simple to complete having walked the streets of Big League before.

Gaddafi, a technically gifted player with ability to retain, dribble and pick up clever and pinpoint passes is the latest acquisition for Arua based Club after the earlier acquisition of Baden Mujahid, Dan Birikwalira Rashid Agau, Mike Kawooya, Alfred Leku, Collins Onega, Idi Abdulwahid and Paddy Muhumuza.
