
South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) continue with their recent positive strides as they seek to establish South Sudan as a modern, forward thinking and innovative football nation.
The search for a new National senior women’s team coach has officially begun as the youngest football nation moves into a new phase of development in the women’s game both on and off the pitch.
The search for the coach is the latest step out of the many other steps South Sudan Football Association has undertaken to develop Women’s Football in the country as well as acquiring competent stakeholders that will help with the implementation of the final strategy which will be launched in December.


In the same line, few months back, the South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) appointed Uganda Crested Cranes defender Jean Sseninde as their Consultant for South Sudan Women’s Football

Jean Sseninde, the CEO of Sseninde Foundation assumed office in the month of October and is currently working with South Sudan Football Association to implement their four year Women’s Football Strategy Sensitization plan.
Away from Jean Sseninde, South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) also appointed Helen Terso as the Project Manager for the Stars Unite Women’s Football Project.

Helen, the Women Development Officer of SSFA will head the Four-year Women’s Football project that will be launched in December and will be assisted by Victoria Nesra.
Both Jean and Helen’s appointments are among some of the plans South Sudan Football Association has already undertaken to develop their Women’s game.
Helen expressed her contentment to work with Jean Sseninde towards developing the country’s women’s football, and believes her attachment to Jean Sseninde will help her to learn more.
Besides the aforementioned appointments, South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) went ahead and held successful women’s football strategy workshops throughout the month of October.

The aim of these workshops was to have input from all stakeholders in the country and and also saw them contribute ideas that will be used to develop the first ever women’s football strategy of South Sudan FA.
