Wakiso Giants comfirm 2020/21 Squad Numbers, No place for four experienced players

Wakiso Giants Football Club’s squad numbers for the men’s first-team have been confirmed ahead of the 2020/21 season.

And with all their new additions to the squad set to play their part as they seek to better their last season’s performance in the league , plenty has changed when it comes to squad numbers at Wakiso Giants with notable changes from the previous season.

However, there is no place for Tom Masiko, Ayub Kisaliita, Hakim Ssenkumba, Ivan Kiweewa alias Kaloolo and veteran forward Geoffrey Sserunkuma.

New signing Ibrahim Kasule will wear shirt number 8 formerly worn by Ayub Kisaliita who could miss the season through a long term injury.

Lawrence Bukenya who made a permanent switch to the Wakiso based club from KCCA after a season long loan will wear shirt number 4 following the departure of Aggrey Madoi who donned it last season.

Promising Custodian Kenneth Luguya, promoted from the junior side will wear shirt number 31 in his first season in Uganda top flight league.

Meanwhile,new recruit Pius Kagwa formerly at Uganda Police fc will wear shirt number 22 vacated by left back Alex Komakech who has now switched to shirt number 3 following the departure of Ivan Kiweewa.

On the other hand, former Vipers midfielder Rahmat Ssenfuka who joined the Purple Sharks as a free agent will wear shirt number 18 while experienced Custodian Samson Kirya will wear shirt number 24.

Other new recruits Joshua Lubwama and Osman Miraji will wear shirt number 26 and 29 respectively
