Uganda Senior Women’s National football Team (Crested Cranes) Captain Ruth Aturo has called upon all Crested Cranes supporters to “get right behind the team” tomorrow as they kickstart their 2022 Africa Women Cup of nations qualifying journey.


The Crested Cranes will be in action tomorrow against Ethiopia at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende (4:00pm) in search of a first leg advantage over their opponents at the second qualifying phase before a return leg in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia six days later and Aturo knows the importance of the supporters’ full backing.

“Tomorrow we are having a very wonderful game and I believe that team Crested Cranes have taken much of the time to prepare for tomorrow’s game,”
Ruth Aturo said during the pre-match press conference
“And I would like to welcome everyone to support the Crested Cranes team tomorrow as we take on Ethiopia at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende at 4:00pm and we request that give us all the support from wherever you’re going to be watching our game and we shall do our part,”
“As players, we believe that whatever preparation we’ve been going through, we shall see that we deliver the good results”

Meanwhile, the Crested Cranes will put final touches to their preparations today, with their last training (5:00pm) at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende and the final squad will be named later in the evening.
