The Uganda Netball Super League action returns this weekend (Saturday, 23rd October 2021) with five exciting fixtures on the card at Prisons Grounds-Luzira , kicking off at 9:00am.
With exception of Makindye Weyonje Netball Club, nine teams will be in action this weekend and Sbk Sports Mail’s Brian Sentuuya brings you everything you need to know about this weekend’s 🇺🇬Netball Super league fixtures.

MATCH ONE: POLICE VS UCU
The first game of the day at the Prisons Grounds-Luzira will see unbeaten Police Netball Club take on UCU at 9:00am.
Energized by their previous results in the 🇺🇬Netball Super league (four wins in four games), Police will be hoping for more of the same after a 63-42 win over a struggling UPDF side in their last match.
On the other hand, UCU will go into this encounter on the back of a 69-31 win over Posta in what was an absolutely enthralling final match of the day at Nakivubo Blue last week.
MATCH TWO: NIC VS POSTA
The second game of the day at the Prisons Grounds-Luzira will see reigning champions and table leaders (NIC) take on struggling Posta at 11:00am.
The table leaders (NIC) have won all their first five games of the season and will fancy their chances of making it six-out-of-six against struggling Posta and head into this weekend’s clash on the back of a 51-40 statement victory over Makindye Weyonje in what was an ultimate headliner of last weekend’s Netball Super league action.
On the other hand, struggling and winless Posta and their fans will hope for a better result following their last weekend’s defeats to Ugx Luweero (25-65) and UCU (69-3) in the first and last game respectively.

MATCH THREE: UPDF vs UGX LUWEERO
Energized by their maiden win in the Netball super league, league debutants Ugx Luweero will be in action against UPDF in the third game of the day at Prisons Grounds-Luzira.
Both teams deserved their first victories of the season last weekend and look capable of mounting a serious challenge against each other tomorrow.
The army side head into the game following on from a 54-31 win over KBK in their most recent fixture whilst Ugx Luweero will be hoping for a repeat of their last result, following their first victory of the season over Posta (65-25) last weekend.
While Amos Lubwama’s coached Luweero side had gotten their debut campaign in the netball super league going with three consecutive defeats, the poor run of results had little to do with how well the league debutants have been playing and they turned their good process into results against Posta and will be hoping for the same.
MATCH FOUR : UCU vs KBK
The fourth game of the day at Prisons Grounds-Luzira will see UCU take on struggling KBK.
KBK will be hoping for a better result here after their 31-54 defeat last time out to UPDF having failed to build on their 38-37 victory over Posta in their last match before last weekend’s action.
On the other hand, UCU (playing their second game on the day) will feel that a struggling KBK side is there for the taking when the two teams meet at 2:30pm and a win for either of these sides would be huge in their bid to improve their position on the league log.
MATCH FIVE : PRISONS VS POSTA
The final match of the day at Prisons Grounds-Luzira will see third placed Prisons Netball Club take on bottom placed Posta at 4:00pm.
Going into this contest, Posta are without a win in this edition’s Netball super league after losing all their first five league matches and will be hoping to turn things around here.
On the other hand, Prisons Netball Club will go into this clash following a 55-35 win over UCU in their most recent fixture.
