StarTimes Uganda Premier League and CECAFA Kagame Cup champions Express FC are determined to end their three-match winless streak at home on Matchday 7 when they host high-flying Wakiso Giants on Friday afternoon at the Betway Muteesa II Stadium Wankulukuku.
The Red Eagles are yet to register any victory at home this campaign, losing 2-0 to Arua Hill SC and drawing 2-2 and 0-0 against Vipers and SC Villa respectively in their first three games at Wankulukuku.

Wasswa Bbosa and his charges have another tough home game on Friday evening when high-flying Purple Sharks, with four consecutive league victories, visit the Betway Muteesa II Stadium Wankulukuku.
Express head into this encounter following a 0-0 draw versus SC Villa in their latest StarTimes Uganda Premier League outing and will be hoping to end their three-game winless run at home and keep their hopes of defending the league title alive.

“Following our goalless draw against S.C Villa, we’ve since been working on our finishing so that we’re able to score more, as you know if you don’t score goals you can’t win games and what we want is to score. We know Wakiso Giants are in fine form but the boys are aware and pumped up to earn our first league win at home this season’ - Express Head coach Wasswa Bbosa said as quoted by the club's official website.

Meanwhile, after losing 3-0 and 5-0 to KCCA FC and Vipers SC respectively in their first two games of the season, Wakiso Giants under the tutelage of Alex Gita who was promoted to the role of head coach after Douglas Bamweyana’s exit ,have won all their last four league games and will fancy their chances of making it five-out-of-five against Express and head into this weekend’s clash on the back of a 3-0 convincing victory over Tooro United.

“We face the defending champions and respect them for that. But we are confident and in high spirits to take them on and there is not right timing than this.” - Wakiso Giants head coach Alex Gita told the club's official website.

PREVIOUS MEETINGS
Wakiso Giants have not beaten Express in their previous two league meetings losing 3-0 on both occasions with latest being last season’s 3-0 home win for the Red Eagles over the Purple Sharks at Wankulukuku.
