

Uganda U20 Women’s National Football Team Head coach Ayub Khalifa Kiyingi has named a strong squad for his team’s two friendly games against Tanzania.
This comes after the Tanzania Football Federation invited the Uganda U-20 Women’s National Football Team for two friendly matches against Tanzania U-20 Women’s National Football Team before its return leg against Burundi in the third round of the 2022 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.
The two friendly games will be played on Thursday 09th and 11th 2021 at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam as part of events to commemorate Tanzania’s 60 years of Independence and Ayub Khalifa has revealed that he will use these friendlies to correct the mistakes his team made during the first leg against South Africa played at the St.Mary’s Stadium, Kitende on Friday, 1st December 2021 before they travel to South Africa for the return leg
Tanzania will head into these friendly games following on from a 3-2 home victory over Burundi at the Azam Complex in the first leg of the third round of the 2022 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup .

On the other hand, Uganda U-20 Women’s National Football Team continued from where they left off in the second round of the 2022 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup after a 10-3 aggregate win over Kenya, with a 1-0 home triumph over South Africa’s Basetsana at St. Mary’s Stadium.
Hadijah Nandago’s 19th minute header off a Margaret Kunihira well taken corner kick was all Ayub Khalifa Kiyingi’s side required to claim a narrow win at home ahead of their trip for the second leg in South Africa on Friday, 17th December 2021.
