
The 2022 /2023 Fufa Women Super League campaign kick off date and fixtures were released yesterday after all the 10 clubs passed the Club Licensing exercise for the 2022/23 season.
The new campaign is expected to kick off on 17th September 2022 with one exciting fixture on the card at Makerere University playground while three more matches will be played on 18th September 2022 at three different venues.
In the opening fixture, defending Champions She Corporate FC will kick off their title defence away from home versus newly promoted Makerere University WFC who were last season’s FUFA Women Elite league champions.
Last season’s FUFA Women Elite league runners up Asubo Gafford Ladies FC will make a short trip to IUIU Kabojja on 18th September 2023 for their opening fixture of the campaign against last season’s FUFA Women Super League runners up Kampala Queens.
On the other hand, Uganda Martyrs HS Lubaga WFC who have already lost a couple of experienced players to rivals She Corporate FC and Kampala Queens during the ongoing transfer window will begin their campaign at home against Wakiso based Rines SS WFC on 18th August 2023.
Soroti based Olila HS WFC will host Lady Doves on 18th September 2023 for their opening fixture whilst Mukono based UCU Lady Cardinals FC will kick start their campaign on match day 2 against Rines SS WFC at Kabaka.
Meanwhile, Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC who endured their worst campaign in history will kick start their campaign on match day 3 with a long trip to Masindi for their opening fixture against Lady Doves at Katusabe ground.
