A stellar performance from Ghanaian international Fumador Asiwome, who netted a hat-trick, and a goal from Yunus Sentamu propelled the Venoms to their inaugural victory of the new year. This victory was a decisive rebound, breaking a winless streak that spanned the past three games.

Meanwhile, In a surprising turn of events, BUL FC faced a 2-1 defeat against Gaddafi FC at the Gaddafi Arena, despite an energized second-half performance.Frank Mulimi initiated the scoring for the Soldier Boys in the 11th minute, skillfully maneuvering around Nicholas Mwere and slotting the ball into the net.
At the half-hour mark, Ronald Bithum Nsumbiano added another goal with a header, putting the hosts 2-0 ahead. BUL had an opportunity to level the score early on, but Joel Madondo’s penalty was saved.
Coach Abbey Kikomeko implemented a halftime double change, bringing on Gerald Ogweti and Ibrahim Muglusi, whose impact was immediately evident. Despite BUL’s attacking efforts in the second half, including a shot from Martin Aprem hitting the post, Gaddafi’s resolute defense held firm.Ogweti’s curled shot from the left side brought a goal back for BUL, but subsequent tactical changes and attacking intent couldn’t secure a draw.
